Weather by GPS Location — No City Entry Required

Most weather tools ask you to type a city. This one doesn't. It reads your GPS coordinates directly and pulls live meteorological data for your exact location from Open-Meteo, a free and open weather API that aggregates from multiple national weather services globally. The result is hyperlocal weather data — not the nearest city's weather, but your weather.

This tool pairs naturally with our GPS coordinates finder and our beach and hiking near me tool — checking conditions before heading outdoors is just good sense.

How the Weather Data Works

Open-Meteo uses the WMO weather interpretation codes system. Temperature is shown in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Wind speed in km/h and mph. Humidity as a percentage. The data is typically updated hourly from the nearest weather station, processed through a global numerical weather model. Accuracy in most populated areas is excellent; remote areas depend on nearest station proximity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this show a forecast or just current conditions?

The current version shows present conditions. A 7-day forecast feature is in development. For detailed forecasts, pair with Open-Meteo's own site or standard weather apps after using our tool to confirm your coordinates.

How accurate is GPS-based weather vs city weather?

GPS weather is more accurate for your specific position — coastal vs inland, valley vs hilltop, urban vs suburban can all show different conditions. City-based weather picks the nearest major station which may be miles from where you actually are.
